Abeyance: the horizon toward which we move (banners)

This new series of text based banners complement the series of similarly named galaxial, architectural renderings which together take a global account of the importance of transnational student organizing squares. The overall project honors these locations of recent, more obscure activist sites to the internationally iconic. This method leans on long-term working relationships across the world with organizers, scholars, curators, and locals to identify each location. Here the banners take on essences and tenor of several interviews.

Featuring both text and altered photographic imagery from the Pacific Ocean, these banners provoke enigmatic, terse, and optimistic statements ideally viewed in tandem and dialogue with interviews and architectural renderings.
