On Air: A live reading of landmark, gust, and Daly City

Artist Jerome Reyes’ larger solo museum project an incomplete caption is composed of a set of audio tapes that include fragments of interviews with Bay Area natives expounding on notions of migration, time and landscape. These testimonies are interwoven with field recordings, sounds from pertinent locations around the Bay Area.

This event, On Air: A live reading of landmark, gust, and Daly City, consists of a live conversation organized by the artist featuring photographer & educator Jeremy Villaluz and Dawn Mabalon, associate professor of history at San Francisco State University. The recording of this conversation will be the last archival audio tape. Once the conversation is recorded, the project is complete.
